These are plant fibers. Jute fibers are used in making ropes
and sacks. They are composed of cellulose.

About  Jute fibers
        The jute fiber is produced  from the stem and outer
skin of the jute plant. Jute is mainly produced in India and
Bangladesh. Jute is used to make sacks, coarse cloth, rope,
rugs etc. Jute matting is used to prevent flood erosion,
while the growth of natural plants takes place.
Jute is biodegradable.
